The dates covered are 1914 - 1940, and the organization was organized on September 12, 1914 and incorporated on November 1, 1923.
This society was made up of young men from that region of Lebanon who immigrated to Lawrence. They paid dues to the society and those dues were used for things like buying flowers for a funeral of another member, or helping to defray the costs of a hospital stay or even medicine for members. Or, sometimes the dues went toward a member whose family was having a hard time due to job loss, or even death.
