2 photocopies of "A Collection of Songs and Poems by Peter Cassidy", The "Shanty Pond" Poet". From Jay Dowd, "The White Fund cosponsored a St. Patrick’s week lecture with the Hibernians. Joe Blanchette spoke on the subject of his great grandfather, Peter Cassidy and his role as the bard of Lawrence and chronicler of South Side Shantytown. Joe made a gift to Lawrence of Peter’s complete collection of songs and poems. Joe presented it to me for the LPL and asked that I share it with Lawrence History Center. It is 114 pages." copies were placed in the Irish box and Poetry box
