The Cedar Club, an organization of Lebanese males shown here outside the club's 10 Lowell Street home c. 1945, was formed in the 1920s as an offshoot of the Maronite Ladies Aid Society. Besides offering charitable support to members, the group assisted in the development of St. Anthony's Maronite Church and St. George's Orthodox Church. Classes in Arabic were also offered by the club.
