The soldiers sitting in the front rows have such instruments as saxophones, drums, and trumpets. The caption says that this was 102nd Field Artillery, 26th Division of the Massachusetts National Guard. The photograph was taken in April of 1919, when the soldiers had just returned from France at the end of World War I. The only identified person is Edward Retelle.
