Trophy with deep yellow or ochre plastic base and column with a smaller trophy on top featuring a baseball player at bat, handles, and leaf motifs all made of the same gold metal, possibly brass. The player is missing the bat itself which has either been lost or broken off. The base has a shiny metal plaque engraved with "WHITWORTH TROPHY 1951 CITY LEAGUE CHAMPS A.F.L". The middle section, a plastic column connecting the base and top trophy, has birds perched on balls with their wings outstretched and a wreath on the column itself all in the same gold metal. Underneath, inside the base, is a blue and silver label or logo of the manufacturer that reads "DODGE, INC. TROPHIES NEWARK MIAMI CHICAGO LOS ANGELES". Dodge Inc. was founded in Chicago by Ray E. Dodge, later moving to Los Angeles in 1930, and manufactures the Oscar and Emmy Awards trophies. The trophy is 19.5" tall by 6" wide at the base. The baseball player on top is 5.5" tall.
