"Unraveling the Myth of Sgt. Alvin York is a culmination of over twelve years of research dedicated to finally demolishing the myth of Sgt. Alvin York and giving credit to the Other Sixteen who were part of his patrol as they fought the Germans that October day in 1918. The book begins by examining the perceived understanding of the battle that portrays Alvin York as the sole hero.

Next it goes into the origins of the other sixteen soldiers who fought alongside York. One of these soldiers is Pvt. Patrick J. Donohue who was born in Cork, Ireland on January 8,1888 . He immigrated to the US in 1905. At the outbreak of war, he was attending night school and worked as a mill worker at the Arlington Mill. Donohue is written about throughout the book.

Next via examination of the aftermath, the book discusses the initial investigation, the recognition, and the forgotten truths. Through evidence gathered via the descendants of the soldiers, Gregory refutes the generally accepted notion of York's one-man show."

This new hard copy print published in 2023 contains images and documents of the seventeen men who fought in the battle.
