Book

"This volume is a transcript of the report of [President Lyndon B. Johnson's] Commission on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. It was reproduced from the official text printed by the United States Government Printing Office and released to the public September 27, 1964."
"Several portions of the text have been omitted either because of their comparatively routine interest or for technical reasons. In each case a statement of what material has been omitted appears at the appropriate place in the text. These include appendices I,II,III,IV,VI,VII,XVIII and a portion of appendix VIII. None of this material has a significant bearing on the Commission's findings. In addition, certain exhibits, mostly photographs of poor reproductive quality, have been omitted for technical reasons, and parenthetical references to them have been edited out of the official text."
