Books written in Armenian, military medals, baby cradle and baby shoes
According to the donor:

"Cradle belonged to the Palanjian family. Nellie (Angel) Palanjian (and possibly Marian Palanjian, Nellie's older sister) used it as infants. Nellie is currently 91 years old (as of January 19, 2021).

Books belonged to this family also. They may have been brought to this country when they fled the Armenian genocide, early 1900s. Nellie's and Mary's mother and my husband Peter's grandmother were sisters who were brought to Russia by their grandmother to avoid being killed by the Turks. She was a very good cook and the Russian soldiers asked her to cook for them and eventually helped them survive and book safe passage to America. Peter's grandmother also was an excellent cook and passed her skills and know-how on to me. Peter claims he exists due to good cooking!

The medals were earned by Nellie's and Marion's father (Vahan Palanjian) during WWI. Vahan was in the cavalry and was an excellent horseman. His horse was named Albert. He sorely missed Albert when he left the service and tried to purchase or reclaim him to no avail."
