• The Eastman Family on the WW2 Homefront - it includes a number of cooking books focusing on cooking including one by Susan B Anthony's daughter -a number of govt issued booklets/pamphlets on topics like cooking on rations -nutrition - victory gardens -canning -sugar -gas -fuel rationing - civilian defense - samples of all kinds of ration card -coins decals The collection is pretty extensive and should be helpful for anyone researching what life was like on the Homefront during WW2
• Donor’s grandmother's (Rachael Dean Eastman) personal papers. For future discussion with the donor in the Fall of 2019– his grandmother’s pictures of the Oliver School 1909 graduation and class day are framed and currently on display at the Oliver School. Donor gave then to Sheila Barry to display -as she works there, but after she retires donor would like something drawn up to ensure that the Lawrence History Center has control over them
• Weston F Eastman – donor’s grandfather's papers - he was on the Lawrence Licensing Board-Lawrence Liquor Commission- President of Rotary Club -a Lawrence Boy's Club Board of Director's member for over 50 years - local banker and real estate and Insurance agency
