This book tells a story of "how dedicated and caring women have banded together to serve all the people of Massachusetts." Mrs. Julia Ward Howe was the founder of this Club in 1893 and aimed to learn., teach, serve and enjoy this Association. It was in 1986 that the incoming Presidlent, Nancy Beatty recognized the need to update the history first published in 1932. Two years of hard work went into updating the history. This book was a gift from Marion Barker. The Lawrence Women's Club is mentioned on Pgs. 68, 102, 196 and 209
