Although this book is written in French it Is quite evident from the title that it is a history of the French language. On the inside front page is a library stamp with the words "Librairie Classique Paul Delaplane, Paul Mellottee, Editeur. The owner of the book made many notations on the front inside cover and face page and there are many note papers among the pages of the book.
