This catalog of photographs taken by Lewis Hine shows his talent at being able to photograph people in many different areas of life. It is said that he risked his own life in order to show the exploitation of child labor. Some of these pictures are striking when he risked his own life to take photographs from the 100th floor of the Empire State Building to preserve on film the workers who were in the process of erecting it. There are also pictures of young cannery workers in 1910 working in terrible conditions; young workers at a cotton mill in North Carolina.
