This book with many wonderful photographs honors our veterans from Cape Ann to Southern New Hampshire. Tales of war range from the Civil War to Iraq and Afghanistan. Many of the people who contributed their memories of the wars were in their 80s and 90s today and some had never spoken of their time in the war before. One of the photographs shows Pfc Alfio S. "Freddie" Faro with his bride, Christine Buco on their wedding day with mother-in-law Rose Buco in Lawrence, 1945. Another photo shows Pfc. Joseph P. Carey Sr. of Lawrence with his wife Anna Christensen and also John Ball Sr. with his wife Carolyn Christensen at 98 Greenfield St., Lawrence. Marine brothers at a parade at Lawrence Common 1947, Dominic, Frank, William, James, Flavio, Raymond and Peter Diodati.
