Title
Fusang The Chinese Who Built America
The book begins with the discovery of 'Fusang' in the 5th century by Buddhist monks - over the years there has been speculation that Fusang was really America, and it was first found by the Chinese.
The book goes on to cover the history of the Chinese as railroad builders, fishermen, the Chinatown blues, the inscrutable tourists, the vision of a Chinese America, along with going back and coming home.
