According to the Introduction in the book, a statement reads: "The policy of the firm has always been to avoid any duplication of conflict of the products of the different manufacturing concerns." The manufacturing activities avoid duplicating other manufacturers. "The Company, as merchants, purchase outright and distribute the products of a large number of other cotton mills.
