Summary: Mrs. Piccerillo ran The Den for 34 years; a highly successful operation. She also worked in a bank, in Sutherland's, and as a school committee woman in the time of Amos Murphy whose Communist friends threatened her. Her contact with the FBI at that time and the difficulties and stigma that resulted - she lost the next election for school committee. Though situated at the North Andover, Andover, Lawrence line, The Den paid taxes in Lawrence.
