Summary: Focus of this tape is on Mrs. Emmons work in Lawrence most of her life; Pacific Mills, Rosebud Florist, housekeeping as a teenager, etc. She is the granddaughter of Walter Rushforth, a Lawrence newspaperman. There are some references to him near the end of the tape. Interestingly, Mrs. Emmons observes that in her opinion, the Methuen Mall is more responsible for Lawrence's decline than the failure of the mills. Long association with First Calvary Baptist Church, war-time work at Colt Firearms in Conn. She belonged to a singing group and studied at MacIntosh School (nights) in Lawrence.
