Summary: Robert Burkinshaw bought the building and the business-Silver Sweet Candies- from Samuel Silverstein, who started his business after WWII. The company has had a large wholesale business, with a large line of diabetic candy. Mr. Silverstein tells how he learned to make candy, and moved the business as it grew. Robert Burkinshaw owns Ye Olde Pepper Candy Company, Ltd., the oldest candy company in the country. Both names will be kept.
