Comments: Mr. Buckley was a graduate of Lawrence High School in 1933. He was the mayor of Lawrence for three non-consecutive terms, 1953-1985. He worked in the Wood Mill for two years in his youth; he served in the U.S. Army and became a Major. In this tape, Mr. Buckley speaks affectionately of his Lawrence life. He was the son of two Irish immigrants.
