Book

This book is a historical record of the assassination/death of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. Days before the President
and First Lady left for Texas there were warnings that the President's reception might be chilly. Texas had been harboring some very un-
friendly feelings toward the administration due partly to the civil rights issue and by a militant right-wing group. When the Presidential party
arrived in Texas however, they were greeted by a warm, enthusiastic crowd. The first stops in San Antonio, Houston and Fort Worth were pleasant
and welcoming. The next morning the Party flew into Dallas and began the motorcade through downtown Dallas. Because of the pleasant weather
the bubble top was removed from the limousine and the bullet-proof side windows rolled down. Lee Harvey Oswald, the assassin was following
the motorcade through the telescopic lens of his rifle. When the motorcade reached Texas School Book Depository where Oswald was located
he fatally shot the President. Governor Connelly was also injured.
