This book gives a history of the collapse of the Pemberton Mill and the resulting efforts to aid those individuals and families suffering due to it by the Committee of Relief for the Sufferers by the Fall of the Pemberton Mill in Lawrence, Mass.. It includes tables of amounts contributed and funds given to those in need. There are three reports in the book: one written by treasurer Charles S. Storrow in 1860; one written by James M. Barnard in 1860; and another written by treasurer Charles S. Storrow in 1861. There is a newspaper clipping in the book listing all those who died or were injured in the collapse.
