Typhoid Fever in its Relation to Water Supplies
This article describes the spread of typhoid fever through many methods, but mostly through the water supply. It discusses the importance of creating a town water supply instead of using wells, the unusual number of deaths from the disease in Lowell and Lawrence and the reasons for it, the number of deaths in various other towns (and the causes), and the possibility of purifying the drinking water in Massachusetts. The article includes tables and diagrams.
