July 15, 2008 Exchange Club The Exchange Club has invited the Lawrence History Center to speak about our 30th anniversary event as well as an overview of our organization. Barbara Brown will be speaking to the group at Cedar Crest Restaurant.
September 1, 2009 Bread and Roses Festival
Save the date for the annual Bread and Roses Festival to be held on Monday - Labor Day - September 1, 2008 on the Lawrence North Common.

September 3, 2008~Pemberton Mill Collapse
Alvin Oickle, professor emeritus and author, will be addressing the Lawrence History Center genealogy meeting on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at the Lawrence History Center from 6:00pm - 8:00 pm.
Mr. Oickle has published two books about about the Pemberton Mill Collapse - one about the historical context of the mill and its demise . The second volume is an exhaustive examination of the deceased and survivors of the Disaster. Stay tuned for more details!
